Mustang Ridge
Mustang Ridge took its name from a small line of hills in the area. A stagecoach way station on the Gonzales-to-Austin route was once located just to the east of the site. Ranching was the principal occupation of area residents until 1900, when cotton became the main business of the region. In 1985,Mustang Ridge was incorporated into a City by Alton Brooks Laws Jr and Charles Laws.
Located less than 20 miles from the heart of Austin, and with Austin’s International Airport 12 miles away, Mustang Ridge is exceptional for commuting. If you are looking for a relaxed town to bring up your kids with great family values, Mustang Ridge is a good choice, without compromising the capabilities of an active and fulfilling life.
