Located along one of the bends in the scenic Lake Travis, Lakeway is a serene escape from the bustle of city life; still Lakeway is situated only 25 miles from down town Austin and all the amenities that a large city offers.
Lakeway is surrounded by the clear waters of Lake Travis, and sits on land rich with history. The town began with a hotel, The Lakeway Inn, constructed in 1962. This was made possible with the construction of the Mansfield Dam(1942) to expand Lake Travis to current size. Since then, Lakeway has flourished into a thriving community with some of the best recreational areas in Texas.
